This session will explore the bond between Jews and Aboriginal people. For example: Ngarigu linguist Professor Troy (University of Sydney) and native Revived Hebrew speaker Professor Zuckermann (The University of Adelaide) will discuss perspicacious insights applicable from the Promised Land to the Lucky, albeit linguistically Unlucky, Country. Professor Troy will share her views on Israel, following her introduction to the Hebrew revival, Prof. Zuckermann will propose the establishment of 'Native Tongue Title' - to compensate Aboriginal people for linguicide, and David Muller will explore the Kimberley Plan by the Freeland League to resettle European Jewish refugees in northern Australia before the Holocaust.
