Munther Emad was born in Gaza. He completed his Bachelor of Sociology/Psychology at Bethlehem University, where he was inspired to advocate for peace and justice. Munther has a Masters Degree in Conflict Resolution and Graduate Diplomas in International Law and Criminology. As a new Australian citizen, he was a keynote speaker at the 2004 Australia Day festivities. In 2005, Munther was the recipient of a prestigious award from the Australasian Police Multicultural Advisory Bureau (APMAB), in recognition of his work for advancement of multiculturalism.
